Pen-friend
Making most of your membership - perhaps some member(s) of your family would like ot have pen-friends all over the world? Having pen-friends is a great way to practice and improve
language skills. Writing a letter, sitting down with an empty page of nice writing paper and a fountain pen, seems to be an art long forgotten in our hectic and IT-dominated world. Why not revive it? Or you prefer the modern version: a pen-friend via e-mail or chat? Surely you will find many future friends here - people like you, who like to explore, to travel, to learn.. ...and perhaps a pen-friendship will lead to a later student exchange after all! |

 How fortunate if you manage to find a volunteer host family, who will take you in as a "new family member" - there is so much to share, so much to learn - and nothing should stop you from making new friends! |

Short Term Vacation
Not interested in a long term commitment? No Problem - here you should find many families with teenagers / young adults ready to exchange for a short term, e.g. a long weekend or just a week or two. Perhaps a school visit is not of interest to you, but sightseeing is? There are so many budget flights available these days, that once you found a family for the exchange, travel arrangements should be easy. Who knows...a short term stay might be the perfect appetizer for a longer exchange! And why not go to Munich this weekend and next month to London for yet another weekend? If you like to travel or want to know that your loved ones are "taken care of" contact other families and inquire. |

Exchanging homes
You would need a houssitter to go on vacation?
Of course this kind of exchange can only be recommended if you can trust the other family, but once you found families who would like to exchange homes, just like you and your family, then why not? |
