Host Families are heros... when you give students an opportunity to see your country they hope for a fun experience, to get to know the language better, and to leave with a good impression.
When I first arrived I didn’t know anybody, so my new family introduced me to other students my age. We have experienced how it is to climb 14’ers and to ride a horse. My host family worry for me, and treat me like their own children. Sometimes it can be very hard to be miles away from home, but they can make it so much easier. Host families are unselfish people who give young students the opportunity to see the world in a whole different way. When you come as a tourist, you can see a lot of the country and get some of the culture, but if you really want to understand or learn about a culture, there is no better way to do that than being an exchange student. So far, this has been the best six months of my life, thanks to my hero who picked me out of all the other exchange students. Thanks to my host parents, I have met all these wonderful people, and I have lovely friends. My new family is showing me the time of my life, and they are very special people to give me this opportunity.
